American EcoFuels™ Inc. (OTC: AEFI) Launches Phase 2 Intellectual Property Expansion Program for GTL and CTL Technology Platforms

SOUTHLAKE, TexasAug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — American EcoFuels™ Inc. (OTC: AEFI) (“American EcoFuels,” “AEFI,” or the “Company”), a developer of advanced synthetic fuel technologies focused on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (“SAF”), synthetic paraffinic kerosene (“SPK”), clean diesel and related engineered hydrocarbon products, announced the commencement of its Phase 2 Patent Plan, a significant intellectual property expansion initiative designed to broaden the patent protection surrounding the Company’s Gas-to-Liquids (“GTL”) and Coal-to-Liquids (“CTL”) technology platforms.

The Phase 2 Patent Plan currently contemplates the preparation and filing of up to 584 additional patent applications covering various aspects and configurations of the Company’s GTL and CTL technologies. The program includes proposed apparatus and method claims, continuation strategies and additional claim development intended to expand the intellectual property perimeter surrounding the Company’s integrated synthetic fuel technology platform. The program is expected to be implemented progressively over time rather than through a single filing event. The contemplated applications remain subject to preparation, legal review, filing and applicable patent office procedures, and there can be no assurance that all contemplated applications will ultimately be filed or mature into issued patents.

Expanding an Existing Intellectual Property Foundation

The Phase 2 program builds upon an existing intellectual property portfolio originally developed within Kepler GTL. The Company’s patent assignment documentation identifies three issued U.S. patents titled “Systems, Methods and Apparatus for Producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel”: U.S. Patent Nos. 11,795,402, 11,827,856 and 12,180,425. The documentation also identifies pending U.S. Application No. 18/922,441 and related international applications or filings involving CanadaEuropeMexicoJapanSouth Africa and a PCT application.

A second patent family identified in the assignment documentation includes U.S. Patent No. 11,471,853 and associated U.S. Application No. 17/687,640, together with an additional U.S. application and PCT filing. The underlying assignment documentation further identifies 150 additional patent applications involving gas-to-liquids technologies and 75 additional patent applications involving coal-to-liquids technologies. The Phase 2 Patent Plan is intended to build upon this foundation through additional continuation, claim-development and patent-protection strategies across both technology families.

Management believes that developing a broad intellectual property portfolio around the Company’s integrated technology platform could become an important strategic asset as American EcoFuels™ progresses through engineering, testing, certification and commercialization.

Building a Technology Platform Around Engineered Fuels

American EcoFuels™’ technology strategy is based on converting carbon-containing feedstocks, including natural gas and coal, into synthesis gas and subsequently engineering that molecular building material into high-value synthetic hydrocarbons. The Company’s principal focus includes technologies intended to produce SAF, SPK and other high-performance liquid fuels through integrated GTL and CTL processes utilizing proprietary catalysts and related process technologies.

Rather than seeking intellectual property protection around a single piece of equipment or individual process step, the Company’s broader strategy is intended to establish protection around multiple aspects of an integrated technology platform, including different processes, configurations, feedstocks, improvements and potential end products. American EcoFuels™ believes this approach could ultimately support multiple commercialization models, including Company-owned or jointly developed production facilities, strategic partnerships with organizations controlling feedstocks and infrastructure, collaborations with aviation and industrial customers, and potential licensing of elements of the Company’s technology to third-party operators. A licensing strategy could potentially provide the Company with an opportunity to participate economically in multiple facilities without independently financing and constructing each production plant.

Brent Nelson, Director of American EcoFuels™ and Chief Executive Officer of Kepler GTL Technologies Inc., stated, “Our intellectual property strategy is about protecting a technology platform, not simply an individual fuel product. We are developing multiple pathways around GTL and CTL, proprietary catalysts, process configurations and engineered fuels that we believe can ultimately support production, strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities. The Phase 2 program is intended to significantly expand the protection surrounding that platform as we move from technology development toward engineering, testing, certification and commercialization.”

Corporate Reporting and Development Update

In parallel with its technology and intellectual property initiatives, American EcoFuels™ is nearing completion of its two-year PCAOB audit. The Company has also substantially advanced preparation of its Form 10 registration statement and currently expects to file the Form 10 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission before the end of the third quarter of 2026, subject to completion of the audit and final legal, accounting and management review.

Management believes completion of the audit and filing of the Form 10 will represent important steps in the continued development of American EcoFuels™ as a fully reporting public company and support the Company’s broader capital markets and commercialization objectives. American EcoFuels™ intends to provide shareholders with additional updates regarding individual patent filings and other significant intellectual property, reporting and commercialization milestones as these initiatives progress.
